Standings are ordered by conference winning percentage. Equal records stay tied; alphabetical display order does not break a tie. With eight scheduled conference games per team, final win totals also determine the record order.
SWAC's published divisional policy starts with head-to-head results, then division record, results against division teams in order, cross-division record and common cross-division opponents. Multi-team ties can reach head-to-head point differential; unresolved ties can reach a coin flip. This lab flags ties rather than assigning an official tiebreaker winner. Championship hosting is a separate process.
Southern vs. Alabama State on August 29 is not included in conference records, consistent with the supplied standings. Nonconference games and postseason games are excluded. The Bayou Classic remains part of this model through November 28.
