SWAC Football Week 6 Was CRAZY!
Upsets? Standings? What does it mean?
SWAC Upset Sunday:
Saturday Chose Chaos.
Fourth-quarter comebacks. A one-point shocker. A Homecoming takeover. October opened with a SWAC Saturday that demanded a Sunday rewind.
If you thought you had the SWAC figured out, Saturday had other plans. Mississippi Valley State stunned Prairie View A&M. Bethune-Cookman took down Alabama State. Jackson State escaped Alabama A&M with another late rally. Grambling turned its fourth quarter against Alcorn into must-watch football, while Arkansas-Pine Bluff took over Southern's Homecoming on The Bluff.
Best day of HBCU football so far? This slate made a strong case. Close finishes supplied the drama, but the standings show why these results matter beyond one Saturday.

Which fourth quarter was crazier?
Grambling's comeback against Alcorn State
Alcorn entered the closing stretch with a game to finish. Grambling had a comeback to write. The Tigers' fourth-quarter response turned this matchup into one of the day's defining swings. Alcorn now sits at 2-1 in conference play, while Grambling moves to 1-1.
Valley's comeback to stun Prairie View
One point separated an ordinary Saturday from a result Valley fans will want to replay. Mississippi Valley State's 28-27 win pushed the Delta Devils to 1-1 in the SWAC and handed Prairie View a conference loss. The Panthers remain at 2-1, but Valley made sure the West's race would feel a little less comfortable.

UAPB crashed Southern's Homecoming
Southern led 10-7 after the first quarter. Then Arkansas-Pine Bluff delivered 35 unanswered points over the next three quarters, taking the celebration away from the Jaguars on The Bluff. A competitive opening became a decisive UAPB takeover at Marshall's Homecoming.
The standings add weight to the result: UAPB is 1-1 in conference play with a two-game winning streak. Southern is 0-2 in the SWAC and carrying a two-game losing streak.
Jackson State scored twice: and Alabama A&M felt it again

For Alabama A&M, a game within reach became another close loss to Jackson State. The Bulldogs sit at 4-2 overall and 1-1 in the SWAC. For JSU, surviving the finish protected its position atop the East.
