A 14-to-1 TD/INT line is the cleanest headline. Lockhart has also added 88 rushing yards.

Conference outlook

Make the efficient passing game work against pressure, especially when teams crowd the run. Shared snaps with Caron Tyler make QB usage worth watching.

JSU’s receiving-yardage leader stretches the field at almost 20 yards per catch. Nate Blount IV is a strong alternative as the leading rusher.

Conference outlook

Rembert can punish single coverage and open space for the backfield. JSU needs intermediate completions when opponents protect against his vertical routes.

The school’s leading tackler is the production-based defensive pick. The school lists 44 tackles; the league feed shows 38.

Conference outlook

The Darkside needs sound fits and fewer extended possessions. Bass’s tackling supports a unit allowing 113.7 rushing yards per game.

THEE conference-play prediction

SheLovesThee prediction: JSU remains my East pick. Lockhart’s efficiency, Rembert’s vertical threat and a run defense allowing 3.3 yards per carry are a strong foundation for the remaining schedule. The margin over A&M is not comfortable. JSU must finish drives, manage its quarterback rotation and avoid giving opponents short fields. The biggest test is staying disciplined when a mobile, run-first opponent makes possessions scarce.

Swing question: Can JSU keep the ball and close games without letting quarterback uncertainty dictate the offense?

Stat line: overall 2026 cumulative totals • Posted statistical cutoff: October 17. Lockhart remains the season passing leader. Caron Tyler also plays (153 yards, one TD, three INT). This chart does not certify a next-game starter.

Quad Brown’s 2,158 passing yards and 21 TD give A&M a passing threat that matches its productive running game.

Conference outlook

Williams leads A&M in receiving yards. Jaylan Bean also has eight receiving touchdowns, so this offense has more than one primary threat.

Conference outlook

Defenses cannot comfortably double both Williams and Bean while respecting the run. Converting that spacing into efficient third downs is the next step.

Barber’s 76 tackles lead the conference snapshot. His range and volume give this defense a reliable center.

Conference outlook

Maintain leverage against option looks and mobile quarterbacks. The Bulldogs’ strong defensive averages need to show up in close fourth quarters.

THEE conference-play prediction

SheLovesThee prediction: Alabama A&M is the strongest statistical challenger to Jackson State. This is more than one quarterback getting hot: the receivers, backfield and defense all provide support. I expect A&M to keep applying pressure in the East. Winning the remaining games is the assignment; a favorable tiebreak position cannot be assumed after the head-to-head loss.

Swing question: Will A&M execute with the same efficiency when the game is tight late?

Stat line: overall 2026 cumulative totals • Posted statistical cutoff: October 17. Brown is counted once despite a duplicate school row. Team passing yards include other passers.

Conference outlook

He must support the run without giving away play-action explosives. BCU’s 11 team interceptions are valuable, but opponents will test the front on the ground.

THEE conference-play prediction

SheLovesThee prediction: Bethune-Cookman can disrupt the East race. Brown gives the Wildcats a way to control possession and force opponents to tackle repeatedly. I still need more from the passing game before choosing BCU over JSU or A&M across the full stretch. If the Wildcats avoid early deficits and win the turnover battle, an upset is very plausible.

Swing question: Can Jefferson punish a loaded box often enough to keep the ground game efficient?

Stat line: overall 2026 cumulative totals • Posted statistical cutoff: October 17. Jefferson is the season passing-yardage leader. Amari Jones also has 184 passing yards. The Wildcats’ run-first identity is not captured by this chart alone.

Conference outlook

His ability to tackle cleanly and create a turnover can preserve a defensive game script when the offense struggles to finish drives.

THEE conference-play prediction

SheLovesThee prediction: Alabama State will be hard to dismiss in any game it can keep low scoring. Hostzclaw and the defense can preserve that script, but the passing output is too limited for me to project a late title surge today. Frye needs a few dependable third-down and red-zone answers. If those develop, the Hornets can spoil somebody else’s plans.

Swing question: Can the offense create enough scoring without asking the defense to be perfect?

Stat line: overall 2026 cumulative totals • Posted statistical cutoff: October 17. Frye is featured as the current season passing-yardage leader. Andrew Body has 410 yards, three TD and one INT in three appearances. Availability is not assumed.

Nine sacks and 12 TFL make Stevens the clearest disruption pick, rather than simply choosing the highest tackle total.

Conference outlook

Pass-rush production can flip possession and field position. He must keep contain when the opponent’s quarterback can escape the pocket.

THEE conference-play prediction

SheLovesThee prediction: Valley is a dangerous assignment, not a comfortable win. Brown can extend possessions and Bluitt can punish a defensive mistake downfield. Stevens can create the sack that ends an opponent’s best drive. I see more spoiler potential than a complete title blueprint, because nine quarterback interceptions make the close-game formula unstable. Protecting the ball is the difference between another upset and a missed opportunity.

Swing question: Can Brown reduce the turnovers while retaining the movement plays that drive the offense?

Burris leads FAMU in receiving yards on only nine catches. The 27.7-yard average is explosive but built on a small sample.

Conference outlook

He can change a game with one catch. The offense needs a steadier route to first downs around him so that deep plays are a bonus rather than the only answer.

Bostic’s three interceptions provide an obvious possession-changing skill. Denzel Johnson leads the team in tackles.

Conference outlook

Turnovers can keep FAMU in games, but the defense cannot depend on an interception every week to offset sustained rushing success.

THEE conference-play prediction

SheLovesThee prediction: FAMU can still affect the East standings, but I need to see better ball security and a functional run game before projecting a sustained turnaround. Parker and Burris can create explosive plays; Bostic can steal a possession. The useful late-season measure is whether those flashes become stable drives and cleaner defensive series. The postseason ban does not make remaining games meaningless.

Swing question: Can FAMU build a dependable offense around the freshman quarterback?

THEE conference-play prediction

SheLovesThee prediction: Prairie View is my narrow West pick at this snapshot because the Panthers already have useful conference wins, including head-to-head results over Grambling and Alcorn. Carter makes the offense difficult to reduce to one dimension. I would not call the West settled: allowing more than 30 points per game makes every remaining possession important. A run-first identity needs defensive support.
SWAC
WEST

Southern’s conference record leaves a route back into the West conversation, but its overall defensive performance creates a difficult starting point. Holly provides the clearest offensive identity. Johnson’s low interception total supports a more controlled approach if the Jaguars can get stops.

Eight passing TD against one interception give Johnson a sound ball-security foundation despite modest passing volume.

Conference outlook

The Jaguars need efficient completions off Trey Holly’s run threat. Improving accuracy without introducing turnovers is the most useful next step.

Holly leads Southern with 673 rushing yards and six TD. The LSU transfer gives the offense a clear identity.

Conference outlook

He can shorten games and protect a defense that has allowed too many points. Sustained drives matter more than one isolated explosive run.

Brister is the secondary-impact selection with two interceptions and four TFL. Tayton James leads the school’s tackle table.

Conference outlook

Southern needs takeaways and better early-down defense. Brister’s run support must not expose space behind him on play action.

THEE conference-play prediction

SheLovesThee prediction: Southern can re-enter the West discussion by making games shorter and more physical. Holly gives the Jaguars a reason to commit to that approach. Johnson must add efficient passing without surrendering the ball-security advantage. I still need proof that the defense can stop the run and keep the score manageable. Without that improvement, Southern risks asking a possession offense to win a track meet.

Swing question: Can Southern get the stops required to let Holly control the game?

Stat line: overall 2026 cumulative totals • Posted statistical cutoff: October 10. Johnson leads the school in passing yards. Wyatt McCauley also has 226 yards and two TD. No next-game availability is inferred.

Texas Southern’s posted cumulative table covers six games, ending October 10. McCoy and Renfro give the offense workable pieces, but the defensive scoring average is the largest in the league snapshot. The review treats the posted 0–3 conference record as the current source record.

McCoy’s seven passing TD and three interceptions are joined by 141 rushing yards and three rushing scores.

Conference outlook

The transfer’s movement helps extend drives, but the Tigers need repeatable completions and fewer possessions ending before the red zone.

Renfro leads the backfield with 531 yards and five TD. The school repeats his row; this card counts it once.

Conference outlook

His 5.4 yards per carry gives TSU a way to control the ball. The defense must provide enough stops for that approach to remain useful.

Jones leads TSU in tackles. He is selected for workload and reliability rather than sack or interception production.

Conference outlook

The next step is team improvement: fewer explosive plays, better red-zone resistance and tackles made before the line to gain.

THEE conference-play prediction

SheLovesThee prediction: TSU needs a complete game before I can project a meaningful climb. Renfro can keep the chains moving, and McCoy offers both passing and rushing value. Those pieces need help from a defense that gives the offense a chance to stay patient. I am watching for fewer explosive plays allowed, better red-zone resistance and one disciplined fourth quarter. Progress starts there.

Swing question: Can the defense keep the game within the offense’s preferred pace?

Stat line: overall 2026 cumulative totals • Posted statistical cutoff: October 10. The posted six-game cumulative totals end October 10. McCoy’s passing totals are individual, not the team’s 1,142 yards.

Sources & methodology

Records follow the official SWAC standings. Overall statistical context is cross-checked against SWAC 2026 statistics. Each player card links to its official biography and school cumulative statistics. Roster-listed height, weight, class and hometown are used; photographs and school marks come from official athletics sites.

Selection: One featured quarterback, one non-QB offensive pick and one defensive pick per school. These are editorial selections based on production, role and projected impact—not official awards. An alternate standout is identified where relevant. Player cards use overall season totals, not conference-only numbers.

Data reconciliation: School cumulative rows are used when the school and conference disagree. JSU lists Keith Bass Jr. at 44 tackles (SWAC: 38); BCU lists Naim Lassiter at 41 (SWAC: 44); PV lists Tevin Carter at 208 attempts (SWAC: 207). Repeated identical player rows are counted once. Josh Brown in Valley’s stats is Joshua Brown on its roster. Team passing totals are never assigned to one quarterback. The posted cutoffs for Southern and Texas Southern are October 10; most other school tables end October 17. Missing biography fields are labeled rather than inferred. A high school entry does not prove that a player has never transferred.

Eligibility: FAMU’s official April 10 announcement states that the program is ineligible for 2026 postseason competition. It is included in the review as a regular-season participant and potential spoiler.

Predictions: Qualitative SheLovesThee editorial analysis of offensive efficiency, defensive resistance, ball security and conference position. Picks are not clinching scenarios, model probabilities or a claim that a team has been mathematically eliminated. No unverified injury or return-to-play status is assigned.

Overlay: Open overlay mode, filter East/West or select schools, choose a metric, and optionally turn on the transparent panel. Choose light text for a dark background, then hide controls. Press Escape to restore controls. The local HTML also supports ?overlay=1&transparent=1&dark=1. “All three” uses separate labeled zero-based scales for yards, touchdowns and interceptions. Fewer interceptions is better.
