When do the polls close?
Explore scheduled closing times in all 50 states + D.C. All times Eastern.
Colors show closing-time groups, not political parties. Stripes mean split or locally varying times; the stripes do not draw county boundaries. “Polls still open” includes states with some areas already closed. Status follows the published schedule, not a live report from polling places; court-ordered extensions may change local hours. Voters in line at closing should follow local officials’ instructions. Check your own polling place before traveling.

Sources & methodology
This independent SheLovesThee hub brings together publisher headlines and provider-hosted election coverage. It does not calculate forecasts or call races.
Results panels
Panels load the public DDHQ results pages linked by The Hill’s 2026 Election Center. Source branding and attribution remain visible. Provider access, embedding permissions, and refresh behavior are controlled by DDHQ. If a panel is blocked, open the source directly. No screenshot polling numbers have been copied into live results.
Vote-share bars
The candidate cards check the public Fox News state result pages every 60 seconds while this page is open. Percentages are the provider’s displayed shares of reported votes. Gray space represents votes for other candidates or rounding, not ballots left to count. Zero-total races display “Awaiting reported votes.” The hub makes no independent race calls. Each bar links to its source and shows when the source was retrieved. If a request or parsing fails, previously retrieved values are marked as outdated.
Automatically refreshed headlines
Every two minutes while this page is open, the hub checks focused Google News RSS searches for Black political coverage, Jackson and Mississippi elections, Roy Cooper and North Carolina, Michigan elections, and Democratic pickup opportunities. Black publishers and regional reporting are prioritized in the relevant searches. Topic labels describe editorial coverage, not an endorsement or a forecast. Editor-selected reading stays available if feeds fail. This is a headline index, not a licensed vote-count feed. Story publication times and feed checks are shown separately. Failed requests retain prior headlines and mark their status.
X embeds
Public timelines use X’s supported widgets. The custom X Election Portal itself is linked, because it is not a standard timeline widget. X content may require sign-in, cookies, or external content permission.
Election integrity
Vote counts are unofficial until certified. Forecasts, polls, and race calls should never be treated as certified results. Consult your state or local election office for authoritative information.
